Gate – Workplace Furniture Line
During my time at ArchiTouch , where I led the Research and Development Department for Design, I had the opportunity to conceptualize and develop a complete line of office furniture under the name “Gate” . This project became one of the most successful product lines launched by the company, significantly contributing to increased sales and brand recognition.
About the "Gate" Project:
The “Gate” collection was designed as a comprehensive solution for modern office environments. It includes a wide range of functional elements such as:
- Desks (single, collaborative, height-adjustable)
- Storage cabinets
- Drawer units
- Modular partitions and organizational accessories
The goal was not only to create practical and durable furniture, but also to design pieces that support productivity, flexibility, and aesthetics in contemporary workspaces.
Design Philosophy:
At the heart of the “Gate” design was a strong focus on form meeting function . The concept was built upon deep research into modern workplace behaviors, user needs, and ergonomic standards. The design language emphasized clean lines, modularity, and adaptability—allowing the system to be tailored to different office layouts and company cultures.
Sustainability was also a key consideration throughout the development process, from material selection to manufacturing practices, making the line not just visually appealing, but also environmentally responsible.
Success and Impact:
Following its launch, the “Gate” furniture line received widespread acclaim and quickly became a top-selling product for ArchiTouch. It played a major role in boosting the company’s revenue and strengthening its position in the competitive market of office interior solutions.
The line was adopted by several major organizations for office renovations, further proving its relevance and effectiveness in real-world applications.
What I Learned:
This project was one of the most rewarding experiences in my career, teaching me valuable lessons such as:
- How to translate conceptual ideas into tangible, market-ready products
- The importance of user-centered design in workplace environments
- How to lead and manage a full R&D cycle—from ideation to production
- Balancing creativity with technical and economic feasibility
